Dr. Vapnek puts me at ease when I speak with him about my concerns, and his knowledge is tempered with a light-heartedness.

I went into the main hospital for kidney stones and was admitted. Vapnek is a hospitalist - and after surgery he told me he got the stones and three nurses stood behind him and shook their heads no when he said he was successful. This was in 2017. I’ve never had such a horrible doctors visit. He basically told me I’m making things up and my imagining studies are a lie. He was terrible.

Overall not a good experience with Dr. Vapnek. Does not listen to you, refused to provide requests (cystoscopy exam, prostate exam, etc) despite having logical reasons and a family history. He stormed out of the room after kindly asking for these requests. Visited another urologist that listened and gave me options for important requests (CT scans, MRI, nuclear medicine renal exam, cystoscopy, etc). New things were found with the new urologist and am now able to have appropriate treatment/care. I would have never found out h... read more

Felt rushed and he may have confused me with some one else because he thought he had given me a preliminary procedure, when in fact he did not! Truthfully he didn’t do anything with me just consultation. Some people are just not suited to dealing with the public. He may be a brilliant surgeon but he has zero tolerance for too many questions and if you are looking for any kind of “bed side manner “ you won’t find it here.

Dr. Vapnek is an extremely capable urologist and is also a good listener and explainer. He did excellent work on me. I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Vapnek.
