RUN AWAY from this DOCTOR!!! He is RUDE, UNKIND and not professional. Had the worse experience with him. He won't listen to you and will make you feel worse after seeing him. Will never go back to his office. Do yourself a favor and chose a different urology.
Went with my wife to have a potential kidney stone issue looked at. Found Dr. Vapnek friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. He took plenty of time to listen to her concerns. He had looked at imagery we had sent over and explained that nothing needed to be done at this time. She was very relieved. Front office and other staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
He left town right after performing surgery on me. I had a bladder sling and it was too tight so I couldn’t urinate at all. He told me to go to the office and the nurse showed me how to catheterize myself. He was on vacation. His partner saw me but didn’t know what was going on, there was no sign out. I was scheduled for two weeks later. When I showed up two weeks later, he was angry with me for letting it go so long. He said I needed a new surgery right away. I just done what I was told. If you are looking for a talented, professional who issued exceptionally well trained Urologist this is your guy. Cleveland Clinic fellowship says it all. Could he be a bit more relatable yes. Do you want a smart excellent surgeon who knows his stuff. This is the guy.
All these negative reviews trouble me . I think Dr Vapnek is a great doctor
STAY CLEAR. I am not sure how this man is in practice. I was squeezed in because I was having such trouble urinating. I have had cancer 3 times in the past few years and have a right to be concerned. He refused to do a cystogram, didn't offer an MRI or an ultrasound. However, he did do a pelvic exam and decided I had pelvic dysfunction. No blood tests either, btw. I was told, "You definitely don't have cancer!" He knew this by a urine sample. I am a BSN, RN, BTW.
I felt so upset after my first visit with Dr vapnek. He cut me off he argued the diagnoses that was given to me in 2012. Without even giving me a examine . he cut me off when I would speak. As a women who suffers from IC . I did not feel he was understanding. I will not ever go back to see him again. And ive never had such a vad experience with a doc. I went to him for follow up care. I will be looking for anotber doctor asap
Do NOT let this man, Dr. Vapnek, perform surgery on you.
