I was treated very rudely for wearing a face shield! They didn’t care that I have medical reasons for wearing it and a note from my doctor. I was yelled at in the waiting room and treated like a criminal. Even after I told them I have a note from my doctor for wearing the face shield they continued to be rude and then yelled at me to put a mask on now! I apologize if our policies regarding face masks were not clear. We inform patients that face masks will be required inside the building for all patients over the age of 2 when scheduling and confirming appointments, as well as via signs posted on our doors. This policy is guided by CDC and American Optometric Association guidelines, and is for the health and safety of our staff and patients. My daughter was at a softball game in the stands and was hit in the head by a foul ball. She began feeling dizzy on and off so I took her to a medical clinic to be seen. After asking her the routine concussion questions and holding a pen in front of her nose to focus on, we were told she was fine, no concussion and no explanation for the dizziness! We saw Dr Yehyawi today for the first time after we were recommended by a couple friends and unfortunately after a face plant into the snow lost one of my sons lenses (yaaaay kids lol) and I was BLOWN AWAY! We were told by other eye doctors that there was nothing we could do about my sons lazy eyes/partial blindness. He was determined and promised me he had ideas of things we can do to help him.
