Dr. Patel is amazing - very kind and knowledgeable. She goes into great detail without being condescending or becoming defensive when patients ask informed questions. She really takes the time to completely address your condition. That really matters to some of us who have worries and concerns.
My has Follicular Lymphoma. Dr. Patel and her staff made us very comfortable. She explained our treatment options in simple terms, described how they would take affect and gave us realistic expectations. While my mother has been under the care of Dr. Patel I have known she was in great hands. She has been an excellent and is very thorough with her medical advice. Dr Patel is an exceptional oncologist and I hope she knows how much her patients and their families value her expertise and care.
Dr Patel is an excellent oncologist, she is very personable and knowledgeable. She spends times explaining things in a way both the patient and family understand. She listens and takes your preference in to account.
Dr. Patel is smart, caring, and compassionate. She takes the time to sit with you and explain everything about your treatment plan. She never makes you feel like she's rushed. I would definitely recommend her to my friends and family.
Dr Patel is a knowledgeable and caring oncologist, her office staff is amazing (friendly and compassionate). As a patient I was very impressed with her level of expertise and caring personality. By the time I completed my six cycles of chemo, my family and I were all very impressed with her care. She always took time to explain things in a way we all understood.
While a very nice person, I had a very unique situation with Hodgkin's Lymphoma relapsed after 13 years... she said she had staffed with Dana Farber and UVA and aBMT was recommended. Then, three weeks later refused me entrance to her program at Fairfax. I consulted with John's Hopkins and found that they not only advised against BMT, but advised against the type of BMTs she is performing... the Dr at JH showed me her notes which did not reflect exactly what she told me...
Excellent doctor. Knowledgeable, personable, and listens!! I have the utmost trust in her judgement and advice.
