Excellent hematologist with strong communication skills. Also the administrative staff is friendly and competent.
Dr. Patel-Donnelly’s team has been treating me for at least eight years. Mostly I see Christine Helou, an outstanding nurse practitioner. She is a very caring, knowledgeable professional and is always responsive to my needs. The cancer center fully implements safety precautions during the pandemic, and I feel comfortable going there
Simply said, Dr. Patel Donnelly has made my journey through cancer treatment and remission as positive experience as that can be. She never hesitates to explain treatment in laymen’s terms and takes the time to answer my questions. Above all, she is very friendly and provides her patients with honest encouragement; great bedside manner! I am so grateful that I was referred to Dr. Patel Donnelly.
Every time I visit her she puts me at ease. She’s very calm and knowledgeable. And she is the only doctor I’ve seen since my initial diagnosis.
Annual visit and checkup
Dr. Patel is one of most knowledgable and caring physicians I have known. She is treating my husband for lymphoma, and we believe she saved his life in 2013. Since that time she has helped keep it under control. I am now seeing her as a breast cancer patient. Dr. Patel-Donnelly listens to your concerns and answers your questions. We highly recommend her.

Excellent doctor. She is kind and knowledgeable. Dr Patel-Donnelly listens to your concerns, walks you through options and is encouraging during treatment. She collaborated on my care with doctors in MD Anderson Cancer Center by communicating with them and following their protocol to ensure a successful outcome. Her staff and team at VCS is kind and helpful arranging visits and treatments such as transfusions and chemo infusions. Dr. Patel has been phenomenal to work with over the last 8 years. I was diagnosed at 24, which completely threw my life off track and I couldn't have asked for a better provider. The staff is courteous, quick to respond, and always compassionate. Several of my family members have unfortunately been impacted by cancer, and VCA has provided care for several relatives. I would absolutely recommend seeking care with VCA for anyone impacted by this horrible disease.
Dr. Patel is my oncologist - very knowledgeable - and handles difficult patients (like me) very well. The only doctor I'd recommend (other than my sister - and she's in a different practice area). She knows what's going on and is among the most optimistic people I know - an important quality when dealing with diagnoses that don't always present great statistical odds....
