I have been a patient of Dr. Borenstein's for a short time, but I can say that I have improved. My pain is down to a 3-4 level and was about a 6 and even a 7.5 when I ate sugar, which was before I saw him. For the first time in over 6 years, I wake up not feeling like a truck hit me every morning. I was diagnosed several times with fibromyalgia by different doctors and also have a lot of fatigue. Dr. Borenstein uses Dr. Jacob Teitlebaum's protocol (SHINE) successfully, which treats yeast, sleep, thyroid, adrenal glands, and ... read more

Not sure. I went to see this Dr today and I over heard him speaking with 2 prior patients. He somehow diagnoses EVERYONE with the same ailment; fatigue, hormone, yeast, and adrenal issues. He then diagnosed me with the same issue the first 2 patients had WITHOUT running blood test first! How is it possible that everyone that walks in has the SAME medical condition and needs the SAME supplements of Adren-All and Adrene-Vive?? Is this his way of pushing vitamins/supplements? I was really hoping he would be the answer to all of... read more

I credit Dr. Borenstein with enabling me to turn my life around! He helped my digestive problems and hypothyroidism like no other doctor because his approach is truly integrative. From diagnosis (and he considers your symptoms!) to treatment to expert supplement advice, he stands out from the rest. He drills down, using the latest science, to connect all of the dots relevant to your condition. I know how unusual he is because I struggled through treatment with two inferior alternative (and more expensive) MDs. He is also war... read more

For 10 years I suffered with many health problems. I went to many doctors and nobody could figure out what was wrong with me. Time and time again I was told that I was fine and sent away feeling hopeless. I even asked doctors specifically about my thyroid because it runs in my family and they would tell me it was unlikely because I was thin. Finally I found Dr. Borenstein and it has literally changed my life!! It was all related to having hypothyroidism. I cannot ever thank him enough. He is fantastic at diagnosing and tries... read more

This guy acts like he knows everything but does not review your case information before seeing you, so each time you go he tells you contradicting things. He then pushes supplements that he probably makes money on to make up for the fact that insurance companies pay him close to nothing. He will literally make you take 20 supplements without explaining why, and I have discovered that many of them are unhealthy to take together! I understand that doctors need to have money, but at least care about your patients. He rushes you... read more

Since my diagnosis of low thyroid in 2005 I had been suffering from relentless headaches. I'd been from doctor to doctor with no relief. I even visited a headache clinic but the meds I was put on elevated my heart rate and eventually stopped working. Finally this year, 2011, feeling completely desperate I discovered 'living well with hyperthyroidism' the book that led me to Dr. David Borenstein(look up Mary J. Shomon's website). Dr. Borenstein met with me once and had a hunch. He added Liothyronine to my thyroid dose and wit... read more

I went to Dr. Borenstein two years ago after feeling sick, anxious and in chronic pain. I had sonogram of thyroid and it showed complex cysts and some enlargement. He did many blood tests and did start me on natural thyroid, however, he kept me on such a low dose for too long. Each time I returned, I told him I was no better, but he said my levels were good. I gained more weight that year on that little dose and started having terrible stomach muscle spasms that landed me in the hospital. Nothing was found. I like him, but h... read more
