Dr. Levinsohn gave me my life back! After years of dead ends with Kaiser, Dr. Levinson took care of me immediately. He said I was a perfect candidate for hip replacement. After years of walking with a horrible limp, and not being able to run, Thanks to Dr. Levinson my health and my walking are 100%. My wife and I cried after surgery was done. As an Orthopedic RN myself I just want to say that Dr. David Levinsohn did a fantastic job on my left shoulder rotator cuff repair. I barely had any pain at all. I think I only took Motrin for some soreness once or twice, and I am not necessarily the type to try to avoid relief if I need it. Dr. Levinsohn was accommodating to any questions that either I or my wife had. All follow up, and dealings with EDD also went smooth not only thanks to the good Dr., but also his wonderful staff.
Total hip replacement surgery in June 2017. On a positive note, the surgery was well executed and the staff at Sharp Hospital was great. On the negative side, my leg ended up ~1/2" longer than original, which severely impacts my gait and forces me into a life of shoe inserts. Dr Levinsohn's analysis of the leg length discrepancy was devoid of any rigor or serious concern. Overall, I feel he runs an assembly line there, good at cutting your bones but not enough attention to detail.
I admit I was a little worried when I was referred to a Surgeon, due to severe knee pain. Ended up being a torn meniscus. The staff was awesome in scheduling, and making sure the Doctor had everything for the first appointment. Dr. Levinsohn focused not only on my knee, but my life style. We went through options and I'm so glad I took his recommendation and went with the surgery. Everything about the procedure was smooth as silk and my knee feels amazing. I'm thankful I trusted him, seriously.
After a lifetime of running, including many, many races and extreme hiking, my knee disintegrated into a painful, osteoarthritis mess. My knee was done--no cortisone, stretching, or physical therapy could have fixed it. I met with five different orthopedic doctors before I met Dr. David Levinsohn--who inspired my confidence and replaced my knee. I have no hesitancy in recommending him highly.
* Very easy to schedule urgent appointments. *Office is very clean and organized. *The staff is incredibly friendly, kind, and courteous *The wait time can be a bit long at times but nothing to bad. *I COMPLEYLY trust the doctors opinions and recommendations * He not only communicates effectively and completely , but makes sure that I understand every step and makes me feel comforted and at peace. This doctor has an incredible bedside manner. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone! Phenomenal!
Exactly 2 weeks ago Dr. Levinsohn performed a total knee replacement. As I write this, I walk about the house without a cane. Have had a miraculous result thanks to Dr. Levinsohn's skill, care and honesty as to pain and options for handling it. Then aware that I was in charge after surgery inspired me to give it my all. Dr. Levinsohn is most certainly more than a surgeon with a scalpel! He is a 'mensch' So wish there were more like him. At 77 years this was my 1st major surgery and delighted.
