Recently I was admitted through the emergency room at Huntington Hospital for a perianal cyst that had blossomed into a very serious staff infection. Dr. Rivadeneira (whom I had never met) was called in to do emergency surgery. He is amazing! Before the surgery he discussed the procedure in detail with my wife and me. Then, he appeared in the operating room just as I was succumbing to the anesthesia and rubbed my shoulder in a reassuring way, telling me all would be fine. And it was!
