I cannot give high enough praise for Dr. Rivadeneira's level of care and concern for his patients. I am in complete awe of the strides Dr. Rivadeneira has made and continues to make to be the best in his field. My only suggestion might be perhaps Dr. Rivadeneira can clone himself off into other fields of medicine! In August of 2011, l was diagnosed with rectal cancer. Because of the tumor locations I was told I would need a permanent colostomy bag. After two opinions from both my surgeon and one from the city, I was told this was my only option. From January to April (2012) I went through chemo and radiation and was due to have the operation in May. My numbers were good, I felt great and I told my oncologist I didn't want this operation. As soon as I met Dr. Rivadeneira I was made to feel very comfortable immediately. He was very interested in listening to me about my problem. The first time I went to him surgery was required and I was very pleased with the results. The second time I went to him I thought I may need surgery, but the Doctor was able to treat me with medication only. I would highly recommend this Doctor.
Dr. Rivedenaria has helped me take my life back. I’m writing this review wearing jeans and sitting down without pain for the first time in over a year. My mother is 86 years old and had been sick with diverticulitis and in and out of the hospital for 3 months. She was treated by a gastroenterologist and referred to a rehabilitation center to receive IV antibiotics. While receiving her antibiotics, she had a set back and was retuned to the hospital where urgent surgery was performed by Dr. Rivadeneira. I had been battling diverticulitis for years and all its symptoms back to 2013 including a couple of hospital stays. Unfortunately in January of 2015 I experienced a “Gastrointestinal Perforation” of my large intestine which required emergency services and immediate hospital surgical decisions.
