Excellent Doctor Back in April of 2014, I visited Dr. David Rivadeneira for the first time where he correctly diagnosed me with an anal fissure. I usually don't rate doctors but I wanted to take the time to post on Dr. Rivadeneira's outstanding work during my surgery. I first met Dr. Rivadeneira after having a colonoscopy which found a tumor on my colon/rectal area. It turned out that at 33 years old, I had stage II colon cancer. Dr. Rivadeneira was extremely patient, compassionate, and helped me understand my diagnosis. I have had rectal prolapse for 10 years and was always uneasy about talking about it, even with a doctor, that was until I met Dr. Rivadeneira. He was so patient with me and extremely knowledgeable about what needed to be done. Just 3 weeks ago I had a rectopexy done abdominally and the colon was also lifted back to their normal position. I highly recommend Dr. Rivadeneira. He did laparoscopic surgery to release my adhesions. I have had a very good outcome. He was friendly and made the entire process as easy as possible. I feel his skills were excellent.
Dr. Rivadeneira performed surgery on me for diverticulitis. I spent over two years going to every specialist to find the problem. I had no symptoms, but the tests showed that something was very wrong. Dr. Rivadeneira diagnosed the problem on my first visit. He said that we needed to get me into surgery fast. I must say that I was terrified. He explained the procedure and said that I might need a colostomy. Well, I had the surgery and all went well to my joy. Dr. Rivadeneira performed surgery on me due to ulcerative colitis. He is a wonderful surgeon and person. Very thorough in explaining everything, answers all of my questions and put me at ease immediately. I would highly recommend him as a surgeon to anyone.
