Dr. Rivadeneira saved my life! Highly recommend him for anyone looking for a gastroenterologist. He's the best of the best. What I thought was just bad stomach pain turned out to be much worse. I had a terrible flare up and needed immediate surgery to remove a piece of my large intestine. If I waited any longer then when I did, there would have been a big chance of needing to remove the whole intestine, the possibility of wearing a bag permanently or even death. I am forever grateful for this man.
Dr. Rivadeneira is an excellent colorectal surgeon, who I highly recommend. Dr. Rivadeneira explained to me, very thoroughly, that my first episode of diverticulitis with an abscess (Dec. 2022) was very serious and recommended that I have surgery. I scheduled the surgery, and I am glad that I did because I had a second episode of diverticulitis about one month prior to the scheduled surgery. I have experienced a prolapsed rectum and after much attempts of dealing with this situation I requested Dr. Rivaeneira to preform a repair. I wasn't able to walk any real distance or preform any real acts of daily living. My bowel and bladder elimination were all messed up. Post repair surgery I left the hospital the next day and had minimal discomfort. It took about a week to start eliminating stool - I was on a liquid / soft diet. Excellent Doctor, now pain free after surgery! Highly Recommend
Dr. Rivadeneira is a caring physician and excellent surgeon. He performed a partial colectomy for my diverticulitis several years ago and most recently treated my internal hemorrhoids. The band procedure took less than 10 minutes and resolved my issue in a few visits. I wish I had gone to see him for this years ago! I visited his Woodbury office and the staff is wonderful and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Rivadeneira and this office.
I first met Dr. Rivadeneira when I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. It was a very frightening time for me. But, from our first meeting he calmed my fears with his kind and understanding manner. Great surgeon. Surgery helped me and his care was terrific.
20 years ago, I had a cyst removed from my right ovary. In December, two different Obgyns believed I had the same issue on the left side. During my surgery, he immediately called Dr. Rivadeniera in, as they discovered it was a gastrointestinal issue and could not be performed by an Obgyn.
