After the initial waiting to be called (approx. 40 minutes) my appointment with Dr. Birnbach was efficient and very reassuring. Without promising things he couldn't he described possible scenarios and recommended a follow up in three month, which I scheduled prior to leaving.
Maybe it was the wrong day to visit. The doctor had not reviewed the previous referral information. The doctor did not get to know me as a patient and my approach to health care options. I'm glad I cancelled the return appointment and sought out other diagnoses of my condition. I'm sure if you are someone who just wants to go with the first procedure proposed with little detail, this doctor will be fine. I was very pleased to have Dr. Birnbach and the team of technicians carry out my examination. Everyone exhibited professionalism while remaining approachable and pleasant to deal with.
Dr. B was very helpful in explaining my retinal issue.
Dr. Birnbach gets a 10 when it comes to having it all. He is not only knowledgeable. He is kind, compassionate, caring, and makes you feel at ease even when you have a severe problem with your eye. Dr. Birnbach is a superb physician who instills confidence and trust. He is kind, empathetic, respectful and makes patients feel like he cares about them as a person and not another patient. In the waiting area, I overheard another elderly patient express the same sentiments to the receptionist.
