To put it in a nutshell, I wouldn't send my worst enemies here. The staff is rude and unfriendly and you wait forever (a least 90 minutes), in the each, you get about 90 seconds in with Dr. Toome. You get the sense that she is too busy pushing botox and collagen into the rich and famous, she can't be bothered by those that need general dermatology care. Rashes, acne and warts just don't bring in s much dollars. The whole operation seems like it's going to fall apart at any given moment.
I was lucky enough to have one of her assistants when I was treating my plantar wart's on my feet. I never saw her. It took 3 visits which was fine, again I didn't have to deal with her. Her staff (with the exception of the one doing the procedure) were rude and unfriendly. This was in 2006. More than a year later I get a bill for over 1k saying my insurance didn't cover 1 of the appts. I called ins. comp. and they said it should have been covered but there was nothing they could do bc it was over a year old. Interesting tha... read more
The Doctors husband / ex husband (Patty or Padrec) needs to stop horassing the patients and employees
Dr. Toome is very knowledgeable but she doesn't spend enough time with her patients. You wait 2 hours and get 2 minutes with her. I would still be going to her now if it wasn't for her staff in Vineland. They are so rude and unprofessional. She has a bunch of uneducated rude administrative workers. You pay top dollar there but get bottom of the barrel service from her staff. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Why go through that. There's tons of good dermatologists out there!
There is no doubt she knows what she is doing, but she treats her patients and staff horribly. She is in and out of your room in about 30 seconds and leaves her assistant to explain everything, maybe if she took a little more time and actually spoke to her patients they would come back to her practice. Absolutely the best Dermatologist that I have ever been to. Any medical practice as busy as hers is going to fall behind schedule occasionaly, but everyone that I have ever recomended to her has become a long term patient, and all have been extremely satisfied. The staff is excellent and extremely knowledgeable on all services provided.
Dr toome is straight to the point , most people nowadays want to be babied and cant appericate straightforwardness , moral of story she recommended what i needed not what i wanted and everything worked in time as she said it would , if u go to the office and ? Her expertise and recommended choice of therapy u might as well ask her to give you her script pad and write your own meds out ..... Who has the degree ? Who been in practice 10+ yrs
I agree with the pushy comments and that she likes to push the cosmetic side of the practice. I don't know how a full body mole check can take only 10 seconds. I had two moles removed, one covered by insurance, one was not for a whopping $175. I was so peeved to find out that my mom had been to a Dr who only charged $30 for each mole to be removed (w/out ins). I went to Dr. Toome for a medical condition. She was impatient, rude, and spoke to me in a demeaning & patronizing way. She gave me meds. that made me sick & swore it wasn't the cause of it; yet all of my other doctors agreed with ME. All she wants to do is rush in & out of offices to make $$ on cosmetic/s and surgeries and not genuine medical conditions. If you are a patient going to her, DON'T.
