I have been going to Dr. Toome for almost 10 years, and I can honestly say she's the worst doctor I've ever had. First it takes months to get an appointment, and then you wait for 2 hours in the waiting room once you get there. After they call you in, you wait once again for 30-45 minutes in the freezing cold patient room. THE 1ST VISIT I TOOK MY 2YRD OLD SON TO SEE DR.TOOME FOR SKIN LESIONS THAT WERE SPEADING THROUGH OUT HIS BODY. AT THE VISIT THEY HAD RESCHEDULED MY APPT. W/ A DIFFERNT DOCTOR (DR.THOMAS) IN VLD NJ WHICH I DIDNT REQUEST. I WANTED MY SON TO HAVE A BIOPSY BECAUSE HE HAD BEEN TO THE HOSPITAL& TO HIS PCP &HAD CULTURES &OTHER TESTING DONE THAT WAS NOT HELPFUL. not happy with the radiesse rx. I feel I need 1 more injection. my face did not change that much! Not happy with the price for this type of outcome!!!
Was pushed in buying products that I did not need. The worst part came when I got a bill after what my insurance company paid. Did not pay the amount and received a lawyer's letter. Total rip off. Stay away.
There is a long wait time at this office, but most offices are overbooked these days. Dr Toome spent quality time w/ me and answered all of my questions. I was not rushed at all spending almost 15 min. with her. I have trust in this Dr and other then the wait time I have no complaints. There was no pushing of products and I was even given samples of meds to assist me with treating what I have to cut the cost. Dr Toome has been very pleasant and kind at each visit.
There is only one gentleman who is always polite in this office. I have been there a dozen times for basal cell removal and have waited a minimum of one hour. Once I waited nearly two. I think they greatly overbook their appointments since many people end up walking out before even being seen. Dr. Toome is always rushed and DO NOT question her advice! My suggestion, go elsewhere.
Waited in a packed waiting room for more than 30 minutes after my appointment time. Spent about ten minutes with the not-so-friendly doctor and got a few tiny keratosis spots burned off. Received a bill for $275 for a consultation and $740 for office surgery. Yikes! Won't be going back there.
Gets down to business but makes me feel rushed. She does not spend enough time with you. Also, I thought she was in a bad mood the first few visits, but after a few visits back, I think that is her personality, or maybe the stress is geting to her. I think I am done with her practice.
I have read all of the reviews and think it's kind of a mix. I have been a patient for several years on and off. Most of her support staff is friendly and helpful. I do feel that they tend to over book themselves. I have had the first appointment of the day and still waited 30 min. I have seen Dr. Toome several times and is has done a great job.
