It is impossible to communicate with the staff or get a response if you have a concern. They don't mind being indifferent to the patient or difficult.
My experience was nothing like I'd read so might want to see for yourself. I did notice some very rude patients that expected to be treated differently than they were treating the staff. The office manager did a good job explaining my benefits to me and even called medicare for me, pulled the website up on her computer and was able to show me my benefits, amount due and explained things very well. I did watch a 2 minute video and they are correct regarding the 20%. Great experience doc. Thank ya
Arguably the finest Glaucoma specialist in this part of the country. Has treated me successfully for around 20 years. Very likely saved the eyesight in one of my eyes thru emergency surgery. Very easy to work with as a physician.
After seeing Dr. Economou for 2 years, I was shocked at my recent visit to be told that Medicare now requires that I pay $35 up front before insurance is billed. I do not have a co-pay, and my medical bills are always paid by Medicare and Blue Cross after I cover the deductible. I talked with 2 different people at Medicare and was told that they do not have such a requirement. This deception is surprising. Dr Economou is a good doctor, but I will not return.
Thank you Dr. Economou. I am so grateful for your God given skill. My sight means the world to me. Thanks to you I’ll be able to see my great grandkids for many years to come. God bless you.

Changes in the office help changed the good atmosphere in the office. The receptionist is rude and people were questioning the need for a co-pay when Medicare is in place as well as gap policies. People were leaving. I was not allowed to take my daughter in to see the doctor so I could b sure of the current changes. She is 24 and I am 75. Others were needing to go in with their spouses who were deaf and they were told they couldn’t. I really like dr. Economou but I don’t know if I’ll return.

Dr. Economou saved my sight literally. I was managed by another Dr. in tulsa. I lost vision but thankfully was Dr. Economou saw me on an emergency basis. I can't tell you how thankful I am to have found him.
