no chance of recommending her to friends/family. I wouldn't recommend her to my enemies. Waited over 45 minutes to see the Dr. that spent about 5 minutes with me dismissing all of my symptoms and directing me to over the counter medications. Looked at tests from a year ago and said I was fine - never mind my new symptoms - everything looked good a year ago, you're fine. Waste of my time
I had a 40 min wait in the office and then another 35min wait in the room. Dr. Steephen thought my endoscopy was a month ago instead of 4 days. She spent less than 10 minutes with me. I lost all confidence in the results. She order a different prescription, but the office staff forgot to call the pharmacy. I had to call back the next day to remind them to call it in. Just seemed very disorganized----maybe too many patients. Nurse called 2 days later with biopsy results, didn't know they wer

I found Dr. Anita Steephen to be very informative I love that for my dietary issues she recommended a small amount of yogurt and to take probiotics which has help some. For my colonoscopy the Lone Star Endoscopy facility was great, pleasant staff, much better experience then my last doctor at Denton Regional.
Dr. Steephen is professional and focused. Although a bit abrupt and curt, she is competent and gets the job done. She is definitely bored with you as a person, so don't go there expecting warm fuzzies; she seems driven by the science or procedure, not the patient. Her staff member named Mary Beth is bossy, rude, unapologetic, "in your face" and lacks good people skills. Not sure I would choose this office in the future.
This doctor does not have ANY concern for her patients. I fired her as my GI dr after she kept using her NP to do all her appointments. Only saw dr. once. She prescribed me 6-MP and while I got sick from taking it she told me to continue to take it. Well. I was hospitalized for acute pancreatitis from side effects and she has no working privelages at this hospital. When I told her NP I was in hospital from meds she gave me...dr Anita Stephens didn't follow up.
The dr. took the time to talk to me about my concerns and explain everything to me.
I had to bring a couple of my kids with me for my appointment because my husband had to work. When she walked in she commented to me about how I should not have brought my kids because they are distracting. They were sitting quietly in their stroller coloring and looking at books. I asked her if she wanted me to just leave since she was so uncomfortable. She said what are you going to do if you have to have surgery. You cant take them with you then. She continued to be rude and I left in tears.
