Having not been thrilled to undergo a second ACL reconstruction, I couldn't have asked for a better doctor! In the initial pre-op appointments, Dr. Moinfar and Nick explained every element of the surgery clearly and in layman's terms. This was my second opinion and having caught something the previous doctor hadn't (or at least had the courtesy to make me aware of), I was confident in and trusting of Dr. Moinfar. Dr. Moinfar is an excellent doctor. I trust him 100%!!! He has successfully completed four surgeries on me and treated a broken ankle-- a meniscus tear in my knee, a bone spur in my shoulder and carpal tunnel surgeries in both hands. All treatments were successful. I travel a bit of a distance but it is worth it because I know I can trust his work and recommendations. He has also treated other family members as well.
He took care of my teenager, with a tear in his shoulder. He was amazing with him. Made him feel comfortable, confident of the future and that he would get back to all his sports activities. The whole experience was not stressful nor frightening. He went out of his way to normalize everything we were feeling. We were referred to Dr. Moinfar by our close family friend who is also and Orthopedic surgeon. He had used Dr. Moinfar for himself. That is the best kind of referral.
I and my family and friends have been seeing Dr. Moinfar for years. He is just as friendly as he is a practitioner and surgeon. I had a freak accident back in August. I broke my left ankle and wrist. He saw me in the office within an hour. I had surgery 6 days later, back to work in 5 weeks!! Everyone that has seen him, has had great results. He's the man to go to!!
I am very thankful and blessed I got a second opinion afterall because if I didn't, I wouldn't have met Dr. Moinfar and his staff. However, after all these yrs. of right shoulder pain (dislocation, bursitis, tendon tear, and frozen shoulder), I can confidentially say, now I am free of pain thanks to Dr. Moinfar. I drove 24 miles to get a 2nd opinion of my knees pain. I was seen by the (PA) physician assistant instead of the doctor. After the PA said I was good to leave, I expressed my displeasure for not being seen by the doctor. Then PA offered to bring in the doctor. After I left the office, the doctor called me and left message with two totally inaccurate / made up statements to bail out of the embarrassing situation. It was a total waste of money and time. I am relatively new patient of Dr. Moinfar but given his thorough care and attention to detail, I believe he knows me as well as any physician could. I have found his personal responsiveness to my calls, concerns, questions and speed arranging medical tests and/or prescribing medications to be nothing short of remarkable. He is easy to talk to and has a good sense of humor. His competency and patient concern is supported by a courteous, professional and helpful office and support staff.
I went to the office with pain and discoloration in my elbow. Diagnosis..tennis elbow. Cortisone shot helped for about 4 months. Went back. I need surgery. Had the surgery in November. Went to therapy. I am in NO PAIN!!! Dr Moinfar is a miracle worker. Everyone in his office is great. The therapists are great. Just everyone is wonderful. Thank you so much.
