Went for the first time to bring in the new year. Best time ever! The Nirvana cover band was on point. Great drinks, great environment. Will be going back.

This is by far my favorite bar.
I remember when the Double Wide first opened, the word on the street was the place was hopefully going to fill the void left by the Orbit Room in the late '90s. A cool little punk dive that has filled that void ten-fold! My two favorite bands these days are Shovels and Rope and Labretta Suede & the Motel 6. Long before I ever heard of either band, they played some of their earliest Dallas shows at the DW. That's how fucking cool that place is.
Cheap drinks, cool people, free photo booths and the weirdest music you could ask for. I ran into De La Soul here once. You never know who you'll run into when you come here. Except for the 4 or 5 regulars who are there every time I go. You know who you are!
Double Wide is a real gem. I went as part of a tour, but it was thru recommendation that we ended up there. Great sound, awesome space for music and really smart, friendly people filled the room. From a Philadelphia band's perspective, we felt right at home. Definitely check this place out and while you're there do yourself a favor and get some "Dang" shots!
