I've been going to DW for years, and seen many great shows. I have lost some hearing, and I've had a few hangovers because of it. I love the staff, the regulars are great, and the random people that stop in as well!!! Always laid back, even when it's packed. Let's not forget it's funky/tacky 70's decor. Double Wide is one of my favorite bars to visit in Dallas!!! Five�����s all the way!!!
this bar is great. with all the pretentious bars and plastic people in Dallas this is a place to go that is accepting of everyone and you can feel completely comfortable and not judged for being yourself. the staff is always fun and seem to enjoy what they do. The drinks are both good and affordable, a twelve dollar martini is no where to be found! highly recommend this place where you can relax, take a breath and be yourself!
If youre black, white, yellow, orange , christian, satanist, Jehovah witness, evangelic ,white trash, nuyorican, gay, lesbian, bisexual , asexual or your music preference pop, punk, hip hop or anything else along the lines, youre always welcomed. You will always have a drink in your hand and you will always have a good time. If you want a bar that makes you feel "secure" go to Punk down the street or better than that , Kung fu saloon that they dont allow black people and dreadlocks or their concept of ugly people.

One of thee best bars in America! A Dallas staple for over 10years DW is a great place to see a show plus they have badass weekly djs and monthly events. Kim and the staff are always working hard to keep it fun and interesting. Wud attend forever!
Great for Klan meetings apparently. Sort of thing they love
. They kicked out people who made a stand against an openly racist patron sporting the SS logo and other nazi symbolism on his clothing. Instead of asking the Nazi to leave, they kicked out those who challenged the bigot. I will never support this business again. Also if their idea of security is letting a patron who has been involved in an incident stare down and interact with the people being thrown out , before being led back into the bar by the staff then you probably aren't safe there anyway.
