A night out at The Double Wide is a great time. The beer is cold, the decor is hilarious and the band line-up is always solid. Pro tip: It's the best possible place to view the Independence Day fireworks at Fair Park, especially when they have chicken shit bingo beforehand. Get there early! The DW has been especially generous to those working for a good cause. Unprepossessing exterior but excellent for an unusual wedding reception
Double wide is a below average dive bar that discriminates, I watched them kick people out without merit, I will not be back
We had a blast ! We went to see a concert there, I only had a couple issues. ..I asked the bartender if I could borrow a permanent marker, she happily let me borrow one , I made the mistake of telling her it was for an autograph, that seemed to upset her, she replied "we don't do that here" ! And took the marker back. The other issue was a can of shiner bock 4.62 a can! I didn't realize that until I paid my tab !
It's okay saw a friend play,but for one bartender in the section where the band plays threw my whole glass of vodka away, tried to tell me it was empty, and said I could purchase another unreal. Yes this makes a difference! Like the bar though.
Went to 80's prom last night and my friends and I had a blast. I want to commend your bar staff. They were on their shit! I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for a drink. Again kudos to the staff!
