Lives up to the Hype – Went to the midtown location during restaurant week and had a fabulous time. I also went to the park ave location for dessert. i had great experiences at both places. The original, park ave, is a little nicer for the decor. The midtown location has an akward set up, and if you ask for the main level or mezzanine it is great, but the basemetn feels like basement. Plus at the park location, they make the guacamole table side, at the midtwon location is was still made to order but was a little off from th... read more

Horrible service, wrong food delivered, won't go back – We went to Dos Caminos last night and had a horrible time. A group of 8 of us went. The meal took over 2 1/2 hours. We ordered drinks, they took forever. 4 out of 8 of the entrees were wrong. They had to send the entrees back, so we had half the table eating at one time, the other half eating at another time. The salmon was dry, wouldn't recommend. Even the coffees were wrong! They couldn't get anything right. I would never go back. So not worth it!

Go for the Margaritas and stay for the Guacamole! – Very fun atmosphere with a good crowd of people. Kim G. from Citysearch suggested that I go to Dos Caminos to try the margartias. She was right- they were very good. However, the guacamole is the reason to go back. As a native of CA, I'm a good judge of guac. They make it tableside and it was outstanding. The waiter made it to our taste. In addition, the fish tacos are very good and rounded out a positive dining and drinking experience.

Not so great – Good thing I went with an old friend, and a lot to catch up on because it wasn't a great dining/service experience. We wanted to have a drink at the bar before being seated, but the bar felt dirty and smelled like old milk. We decided to sit anyway - We were seated allllll the way in the back of the empty restaurant, next to a very large table that looked like it was waiting for a party. The waiter was told us how for training he was sent to tequila college and when we asked what was good, he told us everythin... read more

Best Outdoor Seating in Soho (and surrounding areas!) – Dos Caminos is the perfect spot for cocktails, guacamole, fish tacos and prickly pear margaritas! I have been here numerous times and love sitting outside, chilling with great food! a must try in soho!

OVER - RATED TIMES A THOUSAND – You would think a place like this would have GREAT margaritas but this one doesn't. Their drinks are small, weak and definitely not worth their prices. Same goes for the food, not a big selection and small portions. For example, the "Tacos" are the size of three nachos.

Ohhh Mamasito! – I've been to Dos a few times, always the third ave location and have yet t obe dissapointed. The food is great, service was wonderful and the guacamole is the best in the city. I absolutely adore the "done up" mexican restaurants around the city (.ie. Rosa Mexicana), but Dos Caminos is by far the best. Drinks are great as well and the decor/vibe is very fun. Ask to be sitted downstairs, the upstairs is rather lame.

GREAT PLACE! – this place is absolutely great. the food is awesome! and the service is good too. yea it can be a litlte pricey, but hey, you get what you pay for. the place is very relaxing and sort of romantic like, very dimmed lighting. even though it says its mexican cuisine, but its not like tacos and stuff like that...its more like the mexican style thats kicked up a knotch. but honestly, if u like guacamole, they have the best! it can be pricey for a good amount, but you should at least try it once!...HIGHLY RECOMMEND!... read more
