Love It! This is one of my favorite places! The atmosphere is nice, the drinks and food are always delicious! I recommend going here to anyone and everyone.
Best NYC Short Rib Tacos – My favorite mexican restaurant in NYC. The guacamole is made fresh at the table and according to how spicy you like it. Short rib tacos are accompanied by unbelievable mexican street corn! To top off the meal, try the cosmo del diablo, a mix of juices with pepper-infused vodka. The service is great and so is the atmosphere.
Good food, several good experiences here – I have been here several times, and the food is always awesome. They have delicious guac made tableside and the margaritas are always fantastic. Try the dos enchiladas....the mole and verde sauces are amazing. Other notable menu options are any of the taco plates and the cochinita pibil. This is a fun place to go with a group, but I did once have to wait almost an hour for a table even though I had reservations, but I considered it worth the wait.
Service not good – Went there for Brunch and the waiter had terrible energy and ruined the experience. Seemed overwhelmed and miserable. Food was decent as always though but I will look elsewhere for Sunday brunch spot.
Nice for Sunday Brunch – Came here with a few friends. Everyone enjoyed their food, the jazz band was nice. The Brunch Menu is really reasonably priced. Will come again!
Disappointment – Went for restaurant week earlier this year and had a disappointing experience. We were sat in the back, which is fine for me, but while the restaurant was empty, two couples were seated in the adjacent tables (1 1/2 feet apart) while the rest of the room remained empty. Twice couples asked to be seated somewhere else and were granted this request, but they just kept trying to fill the adjacent tables. My girlfriend and I both ordered the steak for an entree, which was tough, rubbery, overcooked and smothered... read more
Loud restaurant – good food but loud interior; and generally just not pleasant if you want to talk to your dinner mates.
Such a Bad time! – This place does NOT serve good Mexican food. (I am from California and I have high standards hehe) It was so expensive and the chicken enchiladas I had were dry! Yuck!
Great for quick lunch – The cubano quesadilla was tasty and very filling. Generally I like Dos Caminos for business lunch because the menu is switched up frequently, and the staff is accommodating when you only have an hour. Of course if you want to stay and drink, they're cool with that too.
