Festive & good outdoor dining – Ate outside at the Dos Caminos on 52nd & 3rd for the second time last week. Again it was easy to get a table outside even for a group of 5, which is key in my book! You can always count on the food being delicious especially the enchiladas and guacamole. The inside has a very festive vibe. Maybe not the most unique place to go for dinner in NYC, but you can always count on it.

two stars – You don't go to Dos Caminos for "authentic Mexican," you go for Mexican-inspired fare and creative margaritas. They deliver on the margarita front but the menu begs for an overhaul and/or the execution of the menu items should be improved upon. It would be passable if they're prices reflected the quality of the fare. But it doesn't. The guacamole is the only food item worth ordering. Just not a fan, but the place gets 2 stars for the margarita and the (just ok) tableside guac.

Young Couples place to dine! – My husband and I just went to the Dos Caminos on Park- Wonderful!!1 It was a bit noisy, and the service was a little slow, but we had reservations and met up with some old friends. Order a pitcher of Sangria and a double order of the guacamole and you will not realize the time you spent waiting on your food.. All of the food is amazing!!! especially the guac and sangria! Every time we visit NY this will be on our places to go! But be aware... it is tight, noisy, and probably not a place for a w... read more

Loved Loved Loved it!! – My girlfriends and I went last night for a birthday dinner. The place was jam packed and we had to wait forever, even though we had reservations! However, The MOST WONDERFUL MANAGER gave us complimentary drinks for our wait. Our waiter was so accomodating and thoughtful. The food was amazing, the Guacamole is the best in the whole world, and to top it off they gave us complimentary desserts! I love love love Dos Caminos At the end of the night we were happy, giggling and very full!

Slow Service – We went to the mid-town location for lunch, the food was alright though the service was extremely slow, it ended up being a 2 1/2 hour lunch, luckily my boss was the one who got us there. Would not recommend for someone to go there if they dont have a whole lot to talk about or if they are in a hurry, the service is painfully slow and it takes some time to get your order right.

Mexican food at a premium – It's amazing to see how long people wait to dine (40 minutes to an hour and 30 minutes) and pay a premium for food considered to be an everyday meal. Tacos, empanadas, burritos, etc. for 12 ? 24+ bucks. It is humorous to hear justification by stating, ?But the guacamole is amazing?...laughing. Get over it, fresh guacamole tastes great anywhere. Please take a $15 carne asada to knock me out. Please don?t be so vain to think you are part of a cultural experience and lucky to dine here. Wake up peopl... read more

Great Traditional Mexican Food - Good place for a date – Dos Caminos is one of my favorite restaurants in new york. Great place to have a special dinner with your loved one or just friends. The food is actually Mexican and they probably have the best guacamole in the city. Made in a molcajete right on your table. I loved the place. Servers know their food and their tequilas very well. Maybe they sound too much under a "script" many times, but at the end of the day is all good. Bring about $60 per person if you are having ful... read more

Not Worth It – This place is definitely over-rated. the food is expensive and the guacamole isn't really all that. I won't be returning.
