Guac to fly for...the only place I will eat it! – OMGosh! The guacamole is to live for. I'm from Dallas, Tx...the home of Tex-Mex...and every time I come to the CITY, I'm at Dos Caminos! When I had the guac three years ago, I came back to Dallas and tried 13 Mexican Restaurants and found no one came close to the guacamole served at Dos Caminos...so twice a year when I'm in the CITY...u guessed it, I'M THERE! The Prickly pear margaritas are delightfully tasty. The fish tacos are awesome and atmosphere is charming and full of ... read more

decent mexican – I like this place for the ambiance and the guacamole. The food is OK- definitely have found better mexican food at smaller, less expensive spots in nyc. I'd recommend going in the summer when you can enjoy the outdoor seating.

Interestingly Mexican I ate at Dos Caminos with friends of the family and a couple of them did not know what they were in for. This is not a restaurant for people who've never heard of a mole sauce.

Great Summer Spot – Margaritas were the best I've ever had. Also they have awesome Quesadillas. Their service was good and accommodating, sometimes a bit slow but we got what we needed eventually. Definitely eat outside- inside I didn't really like - the downstairs area- is the pits. Go on a hot summer night weekday and get a table outside?it was really nice.

Great food, not the friendliest service – Hands down, the BEST margaritas in New York...they can run around $12 a pop, but they're incredibly tasty and chock full of tequila! Guacamole is to die for, as are most of the dishes I've tried. The service? It can be pretty pretentious, which I think is r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s...in any restaurant or bar. Your customers make or break your restaurant. A mistreated, unhappy customer= gossip through the grapevine. And I doubt any restaurant wants to be known as having 'poor service.'

Bueno – Went here with a few friends the other night. Always wanted to try this place. Great food, and great service. Decoration was nice. Would come here again.

Festive & good outdoor dining – Ate outside at the Dos Caminos on 52nd & 3rd for the second time last week. Again it was easy to get a table outside even for a group of 5, which is key in my book! You can always count on the food being delicious especially the enchiladas and guacamole. The inside has a very festive vibe. Maybe not the most unique place to go for dinner in NYC, but you can always count on it.

Mexican Restaurant When dining at this expensive restaurant, expect to see an actor or actress there... It is a wonderful dining experience... Their margaritas are the best!

two stars – You don't go to Dos Caminos for "authentic Mexican," you go for Mexican-inspired fare and creative margaritas. They deliver on the margarita front but the menu begs for an overhaul and/or the execution of the menu items should be improved upon. It would be passable if they're prices reflected the quality of the fare. But it doesn't. The guacamole is the only food item worth ordering. Just not a fan, but the place gets 2 stars for the margarita and the (just ok) tableside guac.
