With 20+ years experience in the real estate industry, I would highly recommend Donofrio & Associates. Professional and to the point. Unbiased observation and reporting. Their reports and summary pages make for easy home inspection negotiations. They also do NOT recommend contractors or negotiation suggestions, making them even more so, a voice you can trust.
Our inspector missed the fact that only one of four levels in the house had air conditioning ventilation. We didn’t catch it ourselves until after the inspection period! When we filed a complaint, Donofrio took no responsibility and offered a fraction of what we paid them. And then they had the gumption to suggest we refer others and give a positive review. Brian was our inspector and he was very pleasant and communicative. He was sure to break down any and all concern in-person with me and went through the summary report with me at the end to make sure I was comfortable. if I ever buy another home in the area, I'll definitely be in touch with you guys!
I have used Donofrio for the purchase of 7 investment properties. When we were purchasing a new personal home I knew they were the team to go to. Matt was our inspector and he was extremely thorough taking time to walk us through all the major systems of the home and answering all of our questions. His report was very detailed and the turn around was quick. I will be continuing to use Donofrio for all future purchases.
