RecommendedYou don't visit the original Doe's for the ambience. Simply put, it's a dump; uneven floors, garage sale decor are just some of the highlights. You do visit here for the incredible steaks, however. I've dined at the franchises in Little Rock, Fayetteville, and Biloxi, but I do have to say that the porterhouse that we had at the original was excellent. One of us loved the tamales, one thought that they weren't much. The only side was fries. To be honest, I expected more of a James Beard Award winner.
It was a great place and I like walking through the old house.

Everything about this place is awesome. The steaks are top notch and the fries are great. Aunt Flo’s salad with homemade dressing is wonderful. And the iconic building makes this a place you must try. I hope Does Eat Place in Greenville never changes. It is perfect as is.
