Amazing!! The food was delicious. We don't live very close, but will go every opportunity we get!
i havent been there since the 1980s, we use to get to-go orders of the tamales that came in one gallon open top metal cans, the metal cans of tamales may have been a special order item because we use to get about eight or ten cans to feed a big crew. the tamales were great, everybody loved them!
Steak was awesome, service was great, everyone was super friendly and work their butts off and stay so busy! Only thing I would recommend is more options/vairiety to eat. (There isn’t a menu) You can only choose steak, fries, salad, or tamales. That’s all. Plus you have no idea on prices and they aren’t cheap at all. Don’t expect a nice super clean place with clean bathrooms though but it is very homey and like the open kitchen. I saw Does on TV. The salad was really good for the recipe to be so simple, tamales were flavorful and the steak was cook to perfection. it was well worth the 5 hour car trip. I cannot wait till the fall for our return visit.
