We won't be back. Walked in for a late lunch the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Staff was ripping up the carpet in the adjoining dining room (disgusting), then proceeded to move out the tables and chairs that were empty in our dining room. The best part was when the staff picked the table adjacent to the three occupied tables in the restaurant to sort all the salt and peppers, hot sauces, etc laughing and clanging bottles the entire time. This was my first time there and I loved it. The food was delicious and plentiful. The next time I visit Orange Beach I definitely will make a trip back to Doc's.
Got there at 2;30 ordered fried shrimp and oysters with a baked potato yesterday. Everything was cold. Must have been lunch time leftovers. I didn't say anything because our waitress was good and attentive. Not her fault.
Great service even when crowded, 3-5 minutes, gumbo best ever (even better than mine), great shrimp, crab, fish, specials and more. Don't ask for gumbo receipe, they won't give out 30 year old receipe.
Had heard of this place from others in Indiana that had visited and it didn't disappoint us. Good food, friendly atmosphere we'll definitely be back...

Might be best fried shrimp in OB! Harbour Grille was comparable but closed forever! Rustic loud place but food and service was A+!

My favorite place to eat On the Alabama Gulf Coast. Always great food and fast service. Doc's is always my first meal when we go to the beach. My favorites are the gumbo, crab claws and the fried shrimp......
