About this business

Popular for Asian fusion at shoestring prices, this trendy spot blends elements from the cuisine of many Asian nations to produce a truly unique menu. The noodle soups and mixed Asian pastas are great, or try one of several cabbage wraps or the Chinese scallion pancakes as an appetizer. Don't let the crowd scare you away; the line moves quickly. The cozy interior features tiny tables arranged with little elbowroom. For more space, wait a few minutes for a seat on the elevated patio that looks out over Highland Avenue. Check ... read more

tasty, healthy, fast, & inexpensive – Doc Chey's is ideal when one craves something tasty;prefers healthy, ethnic food; has little time; and emulates Clark Howard's financial management practices.

Somebody gets it! – Finally someone understands that no one cares what you wear to dinner or who sees you sipping your martini. All that's important is good food and good service. As a New Yorker who thinks you guys are just trying to hard, I think Doc Chey's has the right focus.

Totally Tasteless Food – Worst food I've had in a while. The food had literally no flavor whatsoever, both times I went. I ordered the Tom Kha Coconut soup (or their version of it) and the Miso Soup. I tried to put a lot of salt in it, but it still tasted like water. I'm not sure if this place is *supposed* to be authentic - it's pure crap and overpriced, too - you get much better Vietnamese, Thai, or Chinese food on Buford Highway. My bf's dish (the Red Curry) was also nasty tasting, although it did have a noticeable *flavo... read more

Kids love "the noodle place" – We've been going to Doc Chey's for over 2 years and love it! (We drive in from Gwinnett.) My boys, ages 2 and 5, eat well there and love going. The service is great! My 5 year-old's favorite waiter is the tall guy with glasses who always rigs up the chopsticks for him. (Is his name Kevin, maybe?) Also, don't miss What's the Scoop and Alon's around the corner for gelato and cookies!

Good Choice!! – Not a huge menu, but everything on it is well thought out & excellent. Very fresh, nice contrasts on my palate!! Very inexpensive!!! I took my Mom there & she loved it!! The Emory location has only walk-up, stand in line to order service, but it moved rapidly. The basil rolls & chinese chicken soup are off the chain!!!!!! Highly recommended!

This is great place to go to hang out with friend while sitting outside, have a good meal (generous portions) and not pay a heafty price. Be sure to try the spring rolls

Cheap Noodles – Sure, it isn't the best food ever, but for the price, it's tough to beat. Pad Thai is always solid and you'll have plenty for two meals. Although I can't think of the name of the dish right now, there's a tasty coconut-based noodle bowl that's a nice change of pace. If you're lucky enough to grab a seat, the patio is the way to go. But if you dont want to wait for a table, takeout is always a good option.
