Whenever we make it to Gettysburg we stop here. The French Onion soup is always delicious and I love the Springhouse Salad. We tell anyone who is planning a trip they need to make this someplace they stop for a meal. A+
We stopped for dinner yesterday while we were traveling through town. We didn’t have a reservation and the Ladies at the front were able to seat us right away. Our waitress was amazing, she was attentive and very knowledgeable! She helped us pick our meals out! We have a 4 year old daughter and the waitress was great with her, she told us she used to be a teacher and has three kids. Our food was hot and fresh and amazing! We had a great experience and will be back next time we travel through Gettysburg!
Have eaten here numerous times when in Gettysburg. Always great food and great service. Baked French Onion soup is the best I’ve had!
My very favorite restaurant. Never disappointed and BEST Onion soup ever.
Was very disappointed the last two times. My fiancé was going to propose to me but they put us in a different room than they promised him and tonight the bartender wasn’t going to serve us food, there was no meat in the soup and she was very rude. It’s such a shame because I had good childhood memories.
I have been going to the Dobbin House Tavern (formerly named the Springhouse Tavern) since my boys were young. Now, they continue to go there with their families. The atmosphere transforms you back in time and the food is delish! Be sure to try the gingerbread with lemon sauce to top off a great meal.
