Diaz came to inspect my 48+ year old wood floors to give guidance on several "spongy/soft" areas. I fully expecting him to say we would need to spend many thousands on replacing them. However, what he said shocked me in a very good way. He said if this was his house, he would first try to tighten those areas by screwing from underneath the subfloor into the hardwood planks since the basement is not finished.
