Magnificent sight! Easy drive from Rapid City, just an hour and a half. Great hiking trails for all ages. And awesome staff at the park!

I enjoyed strolling the trail around the tower. My 10 and 12 year old children had fun doing the Junior Ranger Badge. We also enjoyed using the telescopes at the visitor center to watch the turkey buzzards circling the top of the tower. Well worth the trip from I-90. We had visited Little Bighorn Battlefield and took US 212 toward Mt. Rushmore and visited both sites in one day.

Fun place to hike. The Prarie Dogs are so much fun to watch. Poppin' in and out of their holes and talking away. Easy to spend an hour just enjoying them. Then the Tower itself...just amazing.

Devils Tower is a very special place. The scenery is gorgeous. The trails are well maintained. The rangers are friendly and knowledgeable. One of our country's natural treasures. Worth the visit!!

I was fascinated by the Geological story of the monument. Bear lodge is one of many Indian names for the tower Col. Richard Dodge name it Devils Tower in 1875. The tower sets in the middle of a pine forest wth beautifu views. There is a variety of wild life around the area such us blue birds, Jay's woodpeckers, robins, . lots of vegetation in between the pines such flowering plants and mosses on bare rock. There is a campground around the area.I did enjoy my visit very much ... Very peaceful you may be able to hear the sound... read more

Well worth the short treck off the beaten path. My fourth visit here over the years. It has not changed, but the displays and access have improved!
