Been here when I was a kid, as an adult it was even better.
What's not to like, first natl monument in the us. We walked around the base and saw all sides. Drive there was spectacular! Everyone there friendly. Even saw some climbmers scaling up the tower. Is go back often if I lived closer. Just in awe of the tower!
Awesome place hiked around the basin will come back to climb.
It's not always about the alien landing site from Close Encounters of the Third Kind, even though seeing it in person is overwhelming. However, the magnificence of this landmark is definitely a sight to behold; videos & photos wouldn't justify the natural beauty.
It's truly beautiful. A must see! We walked around the entire perimeter and it was awesome.
The trading post only has Port a potties and the KOA across the street has good bathrooms. It is a great drive and remarkable spot to visit

We try to go every year in the summer. Love the little gift ships and the staff is very friendly.
