Dr Hammer did my cataract surgery in 1997 and 1998 (2nd eye), I am 68 yrs old and have excellent eyesight. I have some M.D., but I have been following Dr Hammer's recommendation with eye vitamins, and regular examinations, and things are going REALLY good. I could not recommend Dr Hammer highly enough--he has my deepest respect, and I am so thankful for his kind, caring attention!!

I just had my first cataract surgery 3 days ago and can't wait to have the 2nd one done this coming Wednesday! I can't even begin to say enough about everyone at Des Moines Eye Surgeons! My surgeon, Dr. Hammer, is THE BEST...compassionate, attentive, he has given me all his attention and advice and support throughout all the consultations and day of surgery...there's just absolutely NOBODY better!!! I have always hated going to the eye doctor until I ended up with an infected tear duct which required surgery. Dr Ball was amazing and I've been going to him for the last 9 years.
