Probably get rid of the nasty rude nurse "Crissy" on the 4th floor of the Helen Powell center. Extremely rude and likes to roll her eyes at patients. She's the true definition of a Karen.

Absolutely terrible to their healthcare workers right now. They literally do not care if you live or die. Outpatient nurses furloughed then denied unemployment benefits, then UP made covid deployment their only option for a paycheck putting nurses who haven’t worked bedside back in the hospital again. This is dangerous to patients and risks a nurse’s license. A memo sent threatening corrective action if we didn’t feel comfortable working with covid patients. I would recommend Unity Point for services, but not for their billing. I have been trying to get an itemized bill from the hospital since September 26th visit (even offer to come down and pick it up), so I can finish my claim with a 3rd party and get this bill paid. Many of my clients have medical bills show up on their credit reports and if this is the process of trying to get medical bills cleared up with Unity Point, I can now see why these items are on their credit report (how sad). I just had the best experience with Wes at the Southglen clinic today. I had a broken toe and was very nervous due to past experience with my foot and he was so kind and listened to my concerns and really took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and treated me with such respect. Thanks for making a hard day much easier!!!!

This review is SPECIFICALLY for Dr. AICH at 2301 East 14th Street Des Moines Iowa 50316. I scheduled an appointment weeks ago for my three year old daughter to receive her shots. When scheduling the appointment by phone the front desk representative clarified the appointment would be for shots and that if I wanted a third party to take my daughter to her shots I would have to complete paperwork for that. This morning I had surgery, a hysterectomy. I cannot say enough about the staff and doctors..they took the best care of me. They are very attentive and show so much compassion. I really appreciate the care I received. Thank you!
My first experience with a mid-west hospital was yesterday at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. I’ve been on the east coast for 64 years and I know what a number of Maryland, DC, Delaware and Virginia hospital’s are like. After breaking my ankle and having to go through surgery back in July, I chose to go with Unity Point Ankeny Physical Therapy for my recovery. I started PT at the beginning of September and Steve helped me regain flexibility and strength in my ankle giving me the confidence to walk again.
