The finest dining in and around Robertson County. When Mr. Elliott built his grocery store in his yard in 1922, then known as The Brick Storehouse, who would have known the building would eventually be the home of Springfields premier dining house known now as Depot Bar & Grill. In 1943, Mr. Elliotts son Otto, took the store over and changed the name to Elliotts Store. While I do recommend The Depot, my last two experiences with service and food were not the best. I’ve definitely been checking out the other spots that have been opening instead of using this as my go to. Management was rude to me on the night we decided to celebrate my mother’s wedding there (which we did because of past experiences), and this last time I went the food was just not the usual great. It wasn’t even just good. Maybe a new chef and or new management?
We love The Depot... for Date night Wednesday & then Saturday fun meal with my honey with a glass of wine 🍷. It’s always worth the wait. And the Carrot cake 🍰 & Banana pudding are awesome plus many more. The waiters are great and very attentive. They always remember what we drink and always greet us with a smile and say look forward to seeing you again soon as we are leaving. This is our go to place.... Also great carry out.
The Depot burger is fabulous! So much I came back for another the next day! Nice little place and excellent staff!
