I would like to say that even though i had some problems at Denver Health Hospital ,I have to say that there are some excellent Doctors and surgeons here such as Dr.Hammerberg who did an amazing job on my knee.Jolene in pre-op was very kind and helpful also want to give a shout out to the most awesome nurse Jordan and CNA Mayra that gave me the most attentive care,theywent out of there way to help me.God bless you always and thank you!!
I had a deeply embedded splinter under my fingernail; painful but not life-threatening. Tried going to Zip Care and there was an hour wait AND they said they wouldn't cut the nail back to remove it, but I would have to pay to find out. Then I went Denver Health emergency room, feeling a bit silly about a splinter. I was in and out in an hour and the physician assistant was totally pro and determined to get the darn splinter out. Every one was super nice and professional.
Sorry my best friends husband had been hit by a car while riding his motor cycle. We have been told this is the best trauma center to go to. He has been in surgery for over 5 hours almost 6. Not a single person has spoken to her about what was going on or why it took so long. The surgeon never came and spoke to her before the surgery or after when it was done. I can't believe this. I will never forget the care and compassion given to our daughter by the SICU nurses and physicians. She was t-boned by a drunk driver in 2008. With a crushed torso, skull fracture and accompanying injuries, the prognosis was not good. The staff was comforting and informative. From the first day, I knew we were in the right place. We almost lost her a couple of times and I feel that if she were in any other facility, we may very well have.
