WIsh there was an option for 0 stars. Coverage is nearly non existent. There is absolutely no way you could EVER get value from this policy no matter the cirmustances. Limited coverage, exemptions and timing problems for certain procedures, and a customer service department who is unwilling to do a single thing to maintain a customer. STAY AWAY.

It's very frustrating to hear a representative of a massive corporation explain to a small business owner that the reason Delta Dental is so backlogged is because of the pandemic. I purchased a family dental practice back in the beginning of the year. I promptly filled out all the paperwork with my new TIN so that Delta Dental could start to process claims for our patients. Delta Dental of PA is a choice of our employers and I truly hope we get to vote them out this contract I had an abscess tooth that was supposed to have a root canal done by a dentist who didn’t do it correctly and it was still abscess so I went for a second opinion and filed a grievance against the first dentist Why would they get paid for not doing the job right? I loss my job due to COVID I was paying for Dental on my own and they won't allow me to cancel my policy until October!!! This is heartless and a terrible way to conduct business! DO NOT EVER use this company.. All the care about is the almighty $$$$$

I've had coverage from Delta Dental for 2 years, and finally actually needed to use it to get a cavity filled. My dentist just put in a composite filling without asking, and then Delta Dental didn't cover it. My policy apparently only covers composite fillings in the anterior of my mouth, while my cavity was in the posterior of my mouth and therefore not eligible for a composite filling. Nowhere on my policy benefits does it list that this isn't covered, as all the "Preventive," "Fillings," and "Composites" are listed as 50%... read more

Deceitful Practices: Delta Dental ignores their Customers and their own Policy Terms. Do NOT subscribe to their Services, you will be paying money monthly only to be denied services when you need them. => Due to Covid-19, my son's College closed on 3/17/20 and as he headed to the transport bus he fell and broke his front tooth at the gumline. ZERO IF POSSIBLE--- I work in a providers office and their customer service is one of the worse. Not only did I wait on hold for an hour and a half to have in issue resolved that was their fault for not reading a claim properly. The requested information was listed and they just straight ignored it, even after I called the rep stated it was listed and had no explanation as to why it was not properly processed. This is the worst excuse for a dental insurance company. This company needs to be shut down permanently. They do NOT answer contact calls or questions. They did not end my plan as requested repeatedly. They continued to charge my card automatic payments even after I reported them to my bank. They ignored WA apple's requests to cancel my plan. This was such a huge waste of money, they didn't even pay for one cleaning or preventative check up. They charged me over $400 just for a cleaning and checkup.

Poor customer service. Long wait times and rude employees. will attempt to continue billing you after you have already canceled a policy that hasn’t been used in years. If you can’t recall the old address they have on file they won’t speak to you about the account and will continue to attempt to bill without authority. This company is terrible and a waste of money.
