We have double coverage from both parents' insurance for my 5-year-old daughter. I tried to grievance regarding a denial to replace a space maintainer for my daughter, and it was denied on the basis that it could be done only once every five years. Well, my question is, when approving this type of service to a dental company, isn't Delta Dental making sure that this spacer is strong enough not to come out in a few months? Ive been with Delta Dental of California since 2014. I called today to transfer my ******* policy to ******** and was told it could not be transferred. When I asked for cancellation I was told the policy would cancel 31 January 2023 (my renewal is February). I was told I would get zero refund of my paid up premium. Im sure the cancellation date of 31 January 2023 is an effort by Delta to show the government they are not practicing unfair trade practices. They allowed me to open an entire dental policy for my husband without speaking with him as well we collect payment under my name. When I needed to cancel the policy and remove my credit card from file they refused. If they accepted my payment with my name only in the credit card they should be able to remove my banking information. They said they will not remove my personal credit card without speaking to my husband. I wasnt even trying to cancel the policy, just removing my personal credit card from the file. Your automated system and customer service line are pretty horrible. Im trying to update my billing information. Seems unnecessary to say customer service 5 times and then get transferred back into the que when the representative says she cant help me. Its been 45 minutes.. Make that an hour as of the time of this comment. Im definitely going to start looking for a provider that values veterans more than this

I would like to know how a doctor's ****** is supposed to tie up a phone line to wait on hold 3 hours 43 mins and still holding. The first reps that answer can never help you and just transfer you to a supervisor. This is the WORST insurance company I have ever dealt with.

I can not understand how they are still in business. I have been on hold with them now for 3 hours to try and speak to a representative regarding a claim that they wrongfully denied. I have already mailed a provider dispute trying to appeal the denial 4 times. Each time I call after waiting on hold for a minimum of 2 hours they state they did not receive the dispute.

BEWARE - Doesnt value loyal customers Employees lied about Waiver exemptions for No Lapse In Coverage I called in several times to Delta Dental to explore a private membership after a decade of being what I thought was a valued member with Delta Dental during my employment with where I had employee benefits. I had dental insurance for about 5 years, apparently my card info expired and instead of contacting me to correct it, they just cancelled me and the only way i found out is I went to the dentist for the first time in about 3 years and was told i had no insurance. Their customer care is terrible, and their policies are terrible. I have nothing good to say about this company and think its embarassing anyone is allowed to provide care that literally provides 0 care
