Delta Dental deserves 0 stars for the customer service that I have received. The incident started in Oct 2021 and still going on now Jan 2022. They issued me a check for work done. My Bank messed up the mobile deposit, therefore they had to cancel the check. The check was canceled by my bank and all was cleared. I showed Delta Dental proof of this and they are still not issuing me another check. They never return my calls back. I wish 0 stars was an option here. In calling to simply have someone help identify what plan # I had earlier this year, I attempted to call their 800 # for assistance, after sitting on hold for over an hour, I submitted an online form multiple times with no response. I attempted to call back multiple times but didn't get an answer quickly enough before having to hang up due to the long wait times. I have had Delta Dental my entire life throughout multiple states. I chose them again through my employer and have had them for the past 7 years for me and my husband. He hates doctors/dentist's, so he never goes, but finally last year, after some issues, he had to go and then decided to get Invisalign. The orthodontic benefit on my plan was $1500. The total cost of it was over $3500, which we had to pay our portion up front in full. My orthodontist submitted the claim to Delta in November of 2020, and Delta Dental sent them... read more

How is one company so awful? I have been on hold for an hour being transferred between agents, none of which want to listen or help me. One of which cut me off and said "I'm transferring you to claims". I did not need claims. I actually wanted to upgrade my plan because the one I have does not cover anything. All of my claims are denied. One agent assured me she was transferring me to a human being, not to be placed on an extended hold again. She lied and I said on hold for another 25 minutes. If I could give this company "0" stars I would. I am contacting my employer to see if we can discontinue business with this fraud of a company. First, my son needed a dental procedure done and the dentist called the insurer to verify that it would be covered. The dentist verified that it was covered and proceeded with performing the procedure on my son who was 5 years old. i was able to enroll in delta dental over the phone no problem i got better insurance and tried to cancel over the phone and was told i would have to send it to them in writing that's bull s*** you are making it hard to stop paying. very unethical if i can join over the phone i should be able to unjoin over the phone!!!!! i will know go to social media and let everybody know you are an unethical company that no you should do business with 0 stars

Horrible ***************** ********************** told my provider that I would be reimbursed, they told me that my provider would be reimbursed. Its a shell game so that they don't have to pay a claim. Expect to wait on hold at least an hour to talk to a representative. Horrible Service. One star rating is generous.

Be careful when selecting this insurance. They have a "lost tooth clause". So if you had a cracked tooth pulled prior to your policy start date they do not cover any replacement cost of that tooth which can be close to $10,000. They are not an ethical company and it doesn't matter if you were with another Delta Plans. Sad they can treat federal employees this way and our government lets them get away with by using them as a viable contract.
