Beware Consignors! Deborah's is very dishonest! I brought some clothing in for consignment and was given a receipt that clearly states that AFTER 60 DAYS unsold items will be donated to charity.That is fine with me. But, I later found out from a store employee, Donna, that some of my items had subsequently been "rejected" and tossed in the donation bin, never having gone on the sale floor. horrible i went to deborahs this afternoon and was VERY disappointed by there overall stock available and prices. I had high hopes for Deborahs and was looking forward to going there. as soon as i walked in not one person greeted me or anything of that nature. i will admitt there where A FEW nice things but the pricing was insane. i didnt even bother going o look at the rest of the store. for whta its worth i would go to amvets anyday rather then go there again, at least they are not overpriced.
too bad for anonymous :( Some people think their stained, old clothing, is so precious and valuable, clothing is not an investment! Anonymous obviously does not get the consignment concept, if your stuff is donated, the consignor gets the tax deduction, not the store! The store does not own the merchandise, HELLO!? And anonymous mentions Donna, a long time, honest, wonderful, and helpful woman, as if anonymous knows her, obviously this is not the case. definately OVERPRICED! I have to agree to the reviewer before me, this store was entirely overpriced for the used items they sell. Selling prices of mildly to heavily used items for prices you'd pay at a department store. I saw nothing worth the prices that they were trying to sell it for. It was clean though, and you never know, maybe they'll take the advice from their potential customers and lower theiur prices that reflect the real value of their items.
Biggest and Best Consignment Store!!! Deborahs Next To New consignment store is the largest, nicest consignment store I have ever been to. Deborah, the owner, recently passed away but her family is keeping the business going and they have made some wonderful changes. It is a great store to browse around in and find your treasures and with great prices!! They have everything, Mens, womens, childrens and Maternity clothes as well as jewelry, antiques, household items and new and used furniture! And always a sale going on too! ... read more
Overpriced! Everytime I've been in here, I've found merchandise that is way overpriced for what it is. They claim to be offering only the best in used merchandise, but really they are just another thrift store. You are better off going to AmVets.
We make lots of $ at Deborah's! We love bringing our items to this place, this is the most honest place we have ever dealt with, and we have been to a lot of consignment stores!! We figure once it is out of our home, someone else is going to re-love it and re-buy it and we make some money! It is great! We end up spending it at the shop on the way out, but we LOVE it!! obviously.... Obviously people who have negatively commented about CONSIGNMENT stores either don??t understand how it works or just don??t get it. Cristine should not take her bad items that are NOT ??Next to New? to that store and sell them on craigs list. I consign there and find it very nice and convenient. There pricing is fair and reasonable, often what i request they sell it for. It is one of the few remaining independent stores left anymore.
