obviously.... Obviously people who have negatively commented about CONSIGNMENT stores either donât understand how it works or just donât get it. Cristine should not take her bad items that are NOT âNext to Newâ to that store and sell them on craigs list. I consign there and find it very nice and convenient. There pricing is fair and reasonable, often what i request they sell it for. It is one of the few remaining independent stores left anymore. Overhead, expenses, taxes, rent, insurance, and the percentage the consi... read more
PRICING! I AM NOW THE OWNER OF MY DECEASED MOTHERS BUSINESS OF 34 YEARS, "DEBORAH'S NEXT TO NEW." Our pricing structure reflects what the CONSIGNER wishes us to sell the items for. âDEBORAHâSâ is NOT a thrift store, but an upscale, âNEXT TO NEWâ store. We are not the Salvation Army, Goodwill, AmVets or any other type of thrift store. Some of our items are Brand new from stores that sold new items and went out of business, Antiques, or quality used items in ânew condition.â Prices are usually at the request of t... read more
great opportunity. I love the store and the value I receive for my items I no longer want or need is much easier than e-bay or a garage sale. 'Deborah's' is definitely NOT a thrift store but a 'NEXT TO NEW' store. I just found out the owner, âDeborahâ passed away about a year ago and they have been struggling to keep it open and in the family. They recently remodeled and it shows. I spoke with the Son and he mentioned about how much theft had occurred from shoppers and had to install a camera system and security tag syst... read more
Bad SERVICE at Deborah's Next To New Consignment/Resale We experienced a very bad, very negative feelings at that store. The employers & owners were very rude, with uncivilized behavior, impatient, rude on the phone, and in person. They took one dress, but did not give us any receipt, and no price. When we came back later to take that dress back, they did not want to return it, and said that they don't have it. They were hostile, yelled at us, insulted us Instead of a polite conversation. The Owners were so uncivilized that w... read more
Don't trust 'em! I took items to Deborah's Next to New in order to sell them on consignment. From the moment I entered the store, I was greeted by the store's proprietor with insulting hostility. Because I'm the sort of person who chooses to give people the benefit of the doubt, I persevered, assuming that the proprietor was simply having a bad day. As she went through the items I was about to entrust to her for resale, she insulted and berated me while her employees exchanged knowing, fearful glances with one another and wi... read more
Biggest and Best Consignment Store!!! Deborahs Next To New consignment store is the largest, nicest consignment store I have ever been to. Deborah, the owner, recently passed away but her family is keeping the business going and they have made some wonderful changes. It is a great store to browse around in and find your treasures and with great prices!! They have everything, Mens, womens, childrens and Maternity clothes as well as jewelry, antiques, household items and new and used furniture! And always a sale going on too! ... read more
consignment i think there prices are very high,i went in a couple of times in past years for furniture, looked for a couch, way overpriced along with all the other used furniture.I asked about consignment, thought it might be worth a try for jewelry.to my surprise the want 60 percent,i told them that it was way to high and they told me that is what everyone else charges, who?????????????i sell my jewelry for at 3 other places in town and the highest one is 40 percent which i found to be about the average, the other 2 are 30 i do ... read more
Love this Place! We are addicted to finding great deals at Deborahs Next To New!! Check it out for yourself...don't listen to negative reviews, they have as much value as negative "movie reviews"!
horrible i went to deborahs this afternoon and was VERY disappointed by there overall stock available and prices. I had high hopes for Deborahs and was looking forward to going there. as soon as i walked in not one person greeted me or anything of that nature. i will admitt there where A FEW nice things but the pricing was insane. i didnt even bother going o look at the rest of the store. for whta its worth i would go to amvets anyday rather then go there again, at least they are not overpriced.
