PRICING! I AM NOW THE OWNER OF MY DECEASED MOTHERS BUSINESS OF 34 YEARS, "DEBORAH'S NEXT TO NEW." Our pricing structure reflects what the CONSIGNER wishes us to sell the items for. âDEBORAHâSâ is NOT a thrift store, but an upscale, âNEXT TO NEWâ store. We are not the Salvation Army, Goodwill, AmVets or any other type of thrift store. Some of our items are Brand new from stores that sold new items and went out of business, Antiques, or quality used items in ânew condition.â Prices are usually at the request of t... read more
too bad for anonymous :( Some people think their stained, old clothing, is so precious and valuable, clothing is not an investment! Anonymous obviously does not get the consignment concept, if your stuff is donated, the consignor gets the tax deduction, not the store! The store does not own the merchandise, HELLO!? And anonymous mentions Donna, a long time, honest, wonderful, and helpful woman, as if anonymous knows her, obviously this is not the case. The entire staff at Deborah's are all long term, committed employees who ... read more
Beware Consignors! Deborah's is very dishonest! I brought some clothing in for consignment and was given a receipt that clearly states that AFTER 60 DAYS unsold items will be donated to charity. That is fine with me. But, I later found out from a store employee, Donna, that some of my items had subsequently been "rejected" and tossed in the donation bin, never having gone on the sale floor. This is a clear breach of their own "contract". No one called me to come get the items, which I would have done. Donna couldn't even tell... read more
great opportunity. I love the store and the value I receive for my items I no longer want or need is much easier than e-bay or a garage sale. 'Deborah's' is definitely NOT a thrift store but a 'NEXT TO NEW' store. I just found out the owner, âDeborahâ passed away about a year ago and they have been struggling to keep it open and in the family. They recently remodeled and it shows. I spoke with the Son and he mentioned about how much theft had occurred from shoppers and had to install a camera system and security tag syst... read more
Bad SERVICE at Deborah's Next To New Consignment/Resale We experienced a very bad, very negative feelings at that store. The employers & owners were very rude, with uncivilized behavior, impatient, rude on the phone, and in person. They took one dress, but did not give us any receipt, and no price. When we came back later to take that dress back, they did not want to return it, and said that they don't have it. They were hostile, yelled at us, insulted us Instead of a polite conversation. The Owners were so uncivilized that w... read more
Love this place soooo much!!! I love Deborahs Next To New!! I have been a longtime consignor/customer there for over 20 years! I am shocked at the previous review by Cristine P, she obviously had a bad day. They have a great policy about items that have been there too long, items get donated only after they are there too long. Go see the store for yourself, don't listen to the hater!
Don't trust 'em! I took items to Deborah's Next to New in order to sell them on consignment. From the moment I entered the store, I was greeted by the store's proprietor with insulting hostility. Because I'm the sort of person who chooses to give people the benefit of the doubt, I persevered, assuming that the proprietor was simply having a bad day. As she went through the items I was about to entrust to her for resale, she insulted and berated me while her employees exchanged knowing, fearful glances with one another and wi... read more
definately OVERPRICED! I have to agree to the reviewer before me, this store was entirely overpriced for the used items they sell. Selling prices of mildly to heavily used items for prices you'd pay at a department store. I saw nothing worth the prices that they were trying to sell it for. It was clean though, and you never know, maybe they'll take the advice from their potential customers and lower theiur prices that reflect the real value of their items. PROS: very clean and well laid out CONS: prices where far too high
horrible i went to deborahs this afternoon and was VERY disappointed by there overall stock available and prices. I had high hopes for Deborahs and was looking forward to going there. as soon as i walked in not one person greeted me or anything of that nature. i will admitt there where A FEW nice things but the pricing was insane. i didnt even bother going o look at the rest of the store. for whta its worth i would go to amvets anyday rather then go there again, at least they are not overpriced.
