Yummy be prepared too eat, had seafood gumbo "yummy" and had giant platter for four. Platter great but was way too much for us had enough left for two suggest the smaller platter. It was great but it was my fried fix for 2014 and the year to come.

Yummy! Great food. Great service. Our first experience with a cajun restaurant and first time eating NOLA food. Very nice!
Worked there as a bartender in 1987; love the great seafood, especially the gumbo, seafood platter and barbecued shrimp. Always hit Deanies whenever we visit New Orleans! One of my all time favorites!

I think this place is awful..not because of the food, but because of the staff!! My husband (who is 6'5 and weighs 135 lbs and is trying to survive after a bout with esophageal cancer) and I can only order a meal or appetizer to split since he only has 1\\4 of his stoma h left. We are from East Texas and have heard nothing but raves about Deanie's so we went to the Bucktown location to give it a try. It was around 11:15 a.m. and the place was already bustling.
