I would not recommend Deacon's. The sales staff and general manager are unprofessional and rude. They don't care about you as a person or your needs all they care about is making a sale even if it involves screwing you over. I would highly recommend taking the drive out to Chardon and leasing/purchasing from Junction Family Auto. I am beyond dissatisfied with Deacon's. I've told my friends and family about my poor experience and will not be returning in the future. I'm very disgusted with them.
My dad bought a Dodge 88 station wagon back in the early 60's from Jim Deacon's dad and uncle. Later, we moved to Lyndhurst and I had the pleasure of going to school with Jimmy Deacon, starting in the 3rd grade in 1966 at Ridgebury Elementary School.
Drove 1 1/2 hrs to get there to see specific truck. Drove it....loved it. Agreed on price.......paying cash! "Oh sorry folks, there's a pending deal on it....can't sell it to you." Seriously? Why was it still on the lot and even now, hours later, still listed on the internet?????
