I went to ER , from work with my BP elevated at 188/125. Once I arrived in the ED, I was checked in by a young man, I don’t remember his name. Horrible customer service. Once I got to the back , I asked the nurse to recheck my BP, she stated to me , she did not have a BP cuff in the room. She asked if he checked my pressure when I came in. The young man did check it, but you would think since my BP was elevated as high as it was, that someone would at least check it again. I sat in the ER for 3hrs. But what choice do people have. I was treated rudely by a doctor on your staff because I dared to question the use of a particular medication. if a doctor is going to introduce a new or different medication to my current regime I think they need to explain why. I learned about 20 years ago that doctors do not always know the best. I had to leave DCH and go to UAB to get proper care. I have always found the nursing and aid staff to be very caring. RecommendedI had to go to DCH Northport early Monday morning with a stomach virus. They were awesome. I got iv fluids and an antibiotic shot.i felt much better. The whole staff from the check in ladies to the RN’s to the doctor were fantastic. Thank you so much for helping me
