They could improve by getting some help that takes care of the patients. The last three times my mother was in there, they tried to kill her. Had the wrong chart and tried to give her the wrong meds once, left her on the toilet for 45 minutes once, and let her go without eating all day this last time. DCH SUCKS!!!!
the er department is great but the hospital is crap they can't get anything right they don't correct or update the charts the doctors come in and tell you one thing and the nurses tells you another the night nurse I had didn't feed me till 10PM and then didn't get any breakfast eather because she said the dr told her this and the doctor came to my room a 9PM and told me I could have food and drink it was a all around crappie experience and I will never go to DCH northport ever again and I will advise anyone who thinks of goi... read more
RecommendedI had some of the best nurses. And the doctors where polite and would set down and explain things to you where you could understand it. If I ever called a nurse they were right there but most of the time I never had to call them they were always checking on me.
RecommendedDue to a small accident I had to go to the emergency room last Monday morning. Everyone was professional and courteous looking after my needs. My time was short in the waiting room and I was fixed up and sent on my way in a timely manner

RecommendedDr. Thomason is THE BEST! I have had 3 epidural shots in my back recently, and I chose to do it without sedation. The first time, he distracted me from the pain by singing “I got the joy joy joy joy down in my heart...” The second time he sang opera. The third time he told jokes the entire time. He is very sweet and personal. He is THE BEST!
