I have always been treated with respect, and by professionals . I have 0 complaints for the services I have always gotten. I really appreciate the VA .�
They have been great to my husband over the past almost 2 years. He had a stroke. He has meet many people who have help get him where he is. It isn't over but unlike public doctors they understand the man in him. They work with it and get him to do things to help him get better.
Went in for a status review. Person conducting the review was very nice and to the point. I was unprepared for the review and did not have the paperwork needed. I wasn't told what I needed BUT when I got home that day in the mail was a letter with details of what to bring. Other funny or odd thing my clock in my phone and the VA clock showed a 15 min different so by the VA clock my appointment was right on time.
I have had surgeries at both the Cincinnati and Dayton VA and I have to say the personnel are top notch here in Dayton. Always checking on me and didn't seem "a bother" when you needed to hit the call nurse button.
Sit for a hour nurse comes in says machine that runs everything in operating room broke will be a hour to get it fixed. Ask how often does this happen....nurse,says not very often come on....Do u trust this going in for a heart cat.....no ended up reschedule for Thursday....why couldn't they send us to another hospital?
There's a lack of communication among the staff/ different departments for starters. I don't know isn't an answer yet I was given that statement to several of my questions. Don't be rude to anyone especially when they are not feeling well!! A couple of my nurses were awesome and for that I thank you. A few of you need to learn patience and respect or obtain other employment. Also, the food is not all that great. Maybe consider other options there.
