This is an amazing place to care for our veterans. Everyone is kind and conscientious.
The dermatology dept is the worst at the Dayton VA, had a 10am appt waited until 1030 knocked on the nurses door to ask how far they were behind and the one nurse or Dr. says oh yeah we're way behind so I left maybe that will help get them one appt ahead since they weren't able to see me after asking me to be there 30 minutes early, last time I waited a hour

My dad has been receiving care there for a long time has cancer surgery over there in 09 and in ICU for 8 days the staff was wonderful to him. Then he had a total knee replacement Tuesday and the whole surgery staff was so nice and his nurses on the regular unit. Thank you to everyone who took care of my dad!!!
I absolutely love the ICU nurses at Dayton Va of Ohio, they are some of the most caring nurses I have ever met they truly love doing there job and so down to earth, they make not just the patient but also the family feel at home!!! They truly deserve two thumbs up!! They will definitely be receiving a Thank You Card!
My dad doesn't care for the food he barely ears in there. And I have only seen a few hard working nurses and aides while he's been hospitalized there. I think Rupert The RN and Mason his aide are the two most awesome employees so far. Dad had been asking for a shower and he finally got one tonight. Ty Rupert for caring. Dad said he barely seen his 1st shift nurse and when I called she asked if my dad was mental. I said WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY. THEN she changed her tune. I recently went to the VA for the stand down event and I really enjoyed myself. This would make the second one I've attended and I must say the fellowship amongst veterans is awesome. Chances are I will continue to attend these events as I find them beneficial and informative.
