Pretty bad that we've been sitting on the exit ramp for over an hour with no movement ....well planned I see!
I had a great Chairman's Club experience yesterday. The tickets said Gates open at 9, so I got there at 9:15ish and was parked and in my seat before 10am. Workers in a golf cart even gave my disabled mom a ride to and from the Chairman's Club from the parking lot. Loved it
I know the Thunder Birds were not there, but didn't think they would be after the crash. I saw clearly on the website when planning this that performers could suddenly be canceled with no notice. I will say the trip to the airfield was the worst part and I almost left before getting there.
We are beyond pissed off today! We waited in traffic for 3 hours, walked 3 miles, paid $50, got to the gate at 2:45pm, walked in, walked out because the air show that was supposed to run till 4:30 ended and the lines to see the airplanes on display closed. We called to speak with someone about why we were sold tickets when it was all closed down and they were horribly rude and hung up on us. The customer service for the Dayton Vectren Air Show is poor! The last time I dealt with such poor customer service, that business no longer exists.
Very messy and mismanaged traffic. Wasted 2.5 hours in traffic.
Loved the show today. You can't pass up going when the weather is this beautiful. Sorry about missing the Thunderbirds. I'm glad to no one was seriously hurt in the accident. I do remember when the show was much bigger. I don't know why they downsized, but I think they do a marvelous job with the show.
Horrible traffic ..... we waited almost 2 hours trying to park .. we were routed almost all the way around the airport to a lot that had shuttles to take you back around .... by this point we had missed several of the performers ... on top of that the Vandaila police officer that we encountered was the rudest most unprofessional law enforcement officer I have ever met .... in the end we never made it into the venue due to the very poor traffic management.... in conclusion I'm out 36 bucks, a tank of gas, and an afternoon ...... read more
