Worst parking directions and setup I've ever seen. Will never pay to go back, I'll park next to a field outside the property.
Absolutely furious and incredibly disappointed. We have to drive about 1hr 45 min just to get to Dayton anyway, and then had to sit for over an hour in traffic off the exit. In that amount of time I maybe moved a quarter mile, with no way to know how much longer it might be. So we turned around and left! Drove all that way just to drive all the way back home. 2 hours in traffic and still counting. Hope to see some semblance of an air show today.
Horrible experience. The parking signs are wrong. We spent 3 hrs waiting to park to be told we have to go another 2 miles to park and then wait 2 hrs to get on a shuttle bus to go 2 mile back to where we were. Spent $40 that I can't get back to turn around and go home and not even see the show!! Horrible planning. Thank you for the waste of $40. Will never come back
We were prevented from attending the show because P lot was full and traffic was at a standstill The Vandalia police did the best they could. They were blindsided by the parking lot snafu arranged by the Dayton Air Show. We remained in traffic for an hour and half to 2 hrs. We just left. We had blue chalet tickets. We are two very upset senior citizens.
Thanks to whoever is planning this event, we never even got to see the show. Drove 1.5 hours, waited in line for an hour to park (barely moved during that hour), turned around and left because we weren't making any progress. Horrible planning!! Thanks for wasting ours and everyone else's time and money!!! We would've loved to see what we paid for!
