My family experience was the best. We have been Dr Kaplan’s patients for 35 years. No one compares to him. His knowledge is impressive and always a “spot on” diagnosis.
Dr. Kaplan was very "snarky" (for lack of a better word) about my diagnosis. Previously, I'd been given a different diagnosis by his assistant, therefore, had to return to get the correct medications. This was the first time I went to this doctor, and will not be returning. Also, they no longer accept any insurance. All charges are due and payable before you leave the office.
Dr. Kaplan, always diagnoses quickly and correctly. He is amazing, as other doctors have prescribed medications that were ineffective. Dr. Kaplan goes above and beyond to make sure that his patients get the care that they need.
Dr. Kaplan and his Nurse Practitioners provide good care. The problem is with administrative services and scheduling - appointments must be made months in advance, no reminder calls, texts or emails are given, often long waiting time in reception room or exam room (or both), I was told that insurance had changed but they couldn't tell me if my plan was covered and I had to call the insurance company myself. The attitude is their office is doing me a favor by allowing me to be a patient.
Dr. Kaplan is not thorough at all! completely ignored my concerns about a mole and I followed up with another doctor who removed it. Turns out it was quite serious. He missed one on my husband a few years ago. We are done with him. His office is a nightmare. Very unorganized and you are always there at least two hours! Find another doctor!!!
